Stopped getting skill points - Guild Wars Forums

Why had I stopped receiving skill points for comleating the level 20 bar.I have filled it A few times and after I had done this I stopped getting skill points.Is that all I get or am I missing something??

Do you mean skill points or attribute points? You get a skill point everytime you fill the bar, but once you get to level 20 you won't get any more attribute points from experience (though there are 2 quests in the campaign your character started in that you can complete to gain more points.)

Press H to bring up the Heroes menu. When you get a skill point above level 20, they stack up in a counter there. You need skill points to buy skills from skill trainers.

But you still keep getting them when you pass level 20.

You can also play PvP and unlock skills there and buy tomes after. I think that is more economical in some cases.

To clarify what people above are saying:

ATTRIBUTE points is are not the same as SKILL points.

You only get attribute points (these allow you to heighten your attibutes, IE, make your skills more powerful) up to 20th level, after that, you've reached the maximum - the game allows no more for balance reasons.

You get skill points every level afterwards, but these are only used to buy skills - not to make them better. You get better with them only in terms of flexibility, not raw power.

Thank you every one for your help.I was referring to skill points.I can see that I will be playing this game for years.I am looking forward to it.The game does get deep. I am 6 months in starting to figure some things out..
